"Pip-pops" House

Cameron, the mighty two-and-a-half year-old, scaled the high hills to reach the pillbox (aka: "Pip-pops House") overlooking Lanikai!  Here are some pics of the courageous adventurer:

Picture Post

It's been a while since the last update - here's a hodgepodge of pics from the past couple months!

Cam gets ready to brave the puddles on a rainy day

Corn dog!

Cam and Mama visited a dairy farm in Waianae this weekend (Naked Cow Dairy).  Cam is now obsessed with cows...

He carried this enormous coconut for quite some time because he wanted to feed it to the baby cow

The baby cow in question.

What baby cows actually eat.

Nom Nom Nom!

Rockin' the 80's style so hard: red ray-bans, Jean shorts, white Nike sneaks...

One of the rare occasions that the bath was an enjoyable occasion.

Easter suit and basket

A benjamin bunny coloring book for easter

He found all the eggs in our egg hunt in Mima's house... even guessed what was in one of them before he opened it: "baby car"

A true fashionista

Buns

Blue tractor... very exciting...

Growing lettuce - Cameron got his own lettuce to plant and grow.  He asks to see it and carry it around at least ten times a day

The famous lettuce

Sunny Sunday

This morning, we took a nice little walk (most of the way up) to Makapu'u Lighthouse:

Along the way up, we saw quite a few tiny little babes being pushed in their strollers (as opposed to our bigger babe who likes to push his own stroller).  Cameron commented on the little babies and I told him that he was my baby, but that he was a huge in comparison to these little guys.  He then proceeded to say "huge baby" over and over:

Cameron has picked up quite a few new words lately.  One of our favorites just now is "bumblebee", mostly because of the awesome "buzzing" impression he does after he says it.  We took this next video hoping to catch his cute bumblebee impression, but he stepped it up a notch by adding the amazingly ill-conceived face he makes whenever he is on camera: his "smile" for the camera is really something else!

The Big Christmas Post!

Well, yet again it's been a while since our last post...  We've been pretty busy with visits, holidays and other life: from Dad/Grandpa Powlison's trip out in the beginning of December to my trip to the mainland (Boston and LA) in January.  And Christmas in between!  Keri, despite a difficult couple weeks juggling job, Cam and Great-Grandma while I was away, is really thriving at work.  Cameron gets more personable every day, with all the joys and flaws that entails!  He is talking nonstop these days and has quite a sense of humor.  He also, however, has quite an over-inflated sense of injustice against his person - like all 1.5-yr-olds I would guess!  2012 was quite a year of changes for us, and though we sometimes feel far from many of our most beloved family and friends, almost all of those changes have been for the good.  We look forward to all that 2013 may hold for our little family, and hope that it may bring a few of you out to this part of the world!

Alrighty - on to the pictures then!

playing ball with 'Baba.'  (side note: very sweet that Cam happens to call my dad "baba" since that's what I called  my grandpa Powlison too!)

favorite passtime: running after birds...  You can sort of tell from this pic that Cam has an awesomely hilarious running style.

'stockings all hung on the window with care'

Christmas morning, sporting very attractive matching "wanta" (according to Cam) hats

seriously, he really liked the hat.  Keri had to extend the back of it about 2 inches to fit his enormous brain-stuffed bean...

Xmas morning visit to the Hilltop gang

Cam is under the false impression that it's cold on Christmas

a sweet tie and cap christmas outfit on a sweet lad!

we went to my auntie Diane's for Xmas eve and the next afternoon for presents.  Here is her not too shabby view of diamond head and Honolulu from up in the Manoa valley.  106 stairs to get there from the street though!

Did Cam fill up on Christmas cake?  Sure looks that way

christmas eve

Uncle Dan, cousin CJ and great-grandma being very amusing

The Smith cousins (and auntie)

"this thing looks suspicious"

In early Jan., the convergence of new moon tides and big surf heavily damaged our beloved Kailua beach and the boat ramp... here they are fixing the ramp, not sure what will be done about the beach itself.

Many shoreline ironwood trees have been taken out by the erosion of Kailua beach  (most already removed in this pic) and the ocean is only a matter of 10 or 15 feet from the beach parking lot to the left now

Exhausted by the seasonal insanity, Cam catches ZZZZs when he can...

... and where he can!

Whoa!  TWO "Georges" for Christmas?!  Life doesn't get any better!  Bye for now!

4 generations of Camerons

Cameron was one happy kiddo spending yesterday afternoon on Lanikai beach with Daddy, Grandpa, and Great Grandma (Mama was there too, behind the camera!):

we also had a nice morning playing at Aikahi playground:
"Hi Grandpa!"

Our little dare devil!
